The name Trojan Horse Photography came about as a tribute to a very special horse that we lost in October of 2010. Trojan was a beautiful, black standardbred gelding who touched our lives and hearts everyday he was with us. I bought him in December 2009 as a gift to my fiancée and the bond that they developed was a wonderful thing to witness.
In August of 2010 we noticed some tremors in his front legs. We had him examined multiple times and found out that he had a pre-existing spinal injury that was rapidly deteriorating. The prognosis was not good, he was in pain and there was nothing we could do about it. The decision was made to let him go. He was laid to rest on the 26th of October 2010. We were, and always will be, completely heartbroken.
When we think of those companions who traveled by our side down life's road, let us not say with sadness that they left us behind, but rather say with gentle gratitude that they once were with us.
